About

Naamen Gobert Tilahun is a 25 year old San Francisco transplant, though he feels like a native since his summers were almost always spent in the Bay Area. He currently holds a Bachelors degree in English with a focus on Creative Writing and is contemplating Graduate School and a MFA as we type. His dream is to be a published author who creates innovative works that his friends love, and if other people like them too that would be great. He’s currently working on conquering the overwhelming fear that grips him whenever he thinks of submitting anything for publication and is also working on his first novel tentatively entitled Aether but affectionately known as “Godless Polyamourous Urban Multicultural Multidimensional Fantasy Mystery Novel of DOOM”.
His interests include science-fiction, feminism, anti-racism, anti-heterosexism, anti-classism, anti-ablism, anti-oppression work of all kinds. He considers himself a post-structuralist and tries to balance his voracious reading between Sci-Fi and Books about Identity politics. He believes all writing to be a political act that includes decisions on who to feature in your work and who to ignore and how to portray those you decide to feature.
He believes adaptability and change to be great things and hates stagnancy and closed minds above all else. He is also now stumped for things to say and so shall end the About page here.
